Apple is gearing up for its “It’s Glowtime” event on September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park. The event will start at 10 am Pacific Time (10:30 pm IST). It’s an in-person event, but you can also watch it live on Apple’s website or YouTube channel.
Apple usually keeps product details secret until the official launch. However, it’s expected that the company will reveal the new iPhone 16 series during this event. Other products, like Apple Watches and AirPods, might also be introduced with the iPhones.
Apple “It’s Glowtime” 2024: Expected Products
iPhone 16 Series
The iPhone 16 series will likely be the highlight. It has four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Each model will have a different screen size. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to have 60Hz OLED screens. The Pro models will have 120Hz screens. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a large 6.9-inch screen, while the standard iPhone 16 will be the smallest.
All models should have Apple’s new “Apple Intelligence” feature. But, a full experience may only come after a future iOS 18.1 update.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will likely have the A18 chip, while the Pro and Pro Max models may come with the A18 Pro chip. All models are expected to start with 8GB of RAM, with the Pro models offering storage options from 256GB up to 2TB.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to have cameras like the iPhone 15 series. But, the camera layout will be vertical. The Pro models are rumored to have a 48MP ultra-wide lens. The iPhone 16 Pro Max may have a 4676mAh battery. The iPhone 16 Pro may have a smaller 3,355mAh one.
Apple Watch Series 10
The Watch Series 10 might also be launched with a curved display. There could be two versions: one with a flat screen, called Series X, and another with a curved design. These watches have larger 42mm and 46mm screens. They have thinner bezels, a sleek design, and a powerful processor.
Apple Watch SE 3 and Watch Ultra 3
Apple may also reveal the 3rd generation SE watch with a plastic body at a lower price. The Watch Ultra 3 could have a microLED display and advanced AI. But, it may cost more than the Ultra 2.
AirPods
Apple could launch the 4th generation of AirPods with two models: a low-end and a mid-tier one. These would replace the current 2nd and 3rd-gen models. They may feature noise cancellation and Find My support.
New Mac Mini
Apple may also introduce a new Mac Mini. It would have a more powerful chip and more RAM to support the Apple Intelligence feature.
