The ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra appears on the IMEI database, hinting at a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and shared features with ROG Phone 9.
ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra: What to Expect
ASUS is reportedly working on the Zenfone 12 Ultra, a follow-up to the Zenfone 11 Ultra released earlier this year. The new phone has been spotted in the IMEI database. Its model number, ASUSAI2501H, confirms its name.

Key Features of the ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra
The Zenfone 12 Ultra is rumored to share many features with the ASUS ROG Phone 9. This is similar to how the Zenfone 11 Ultra and ROG Phone 8 had almost identical hardware.
Performance Upgrades
- The Zenfone 12 Ultra might be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
- This is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the previous model.
- The new chip uses TSMC’s 3nm technology, promising a significant performance boost.
However, don’t get too excited just yet. Reports suggest that the Zenfone 12 Ultra might not launch soon. Given that the Zenfone 11 Ultra launched in March, the Zenfone 12 Ultra could arrive around the same time next year. But with many brands speeding up their release schedules, ASUS might release the phone a bit earlier.
