Google Pixel 9 Display Specs (Expected)

The Pixel 9 series will likely include three models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is a new addition to the lineup. According to Android Authority, all three models are expected to have brighter screens due to the M14 OLED display.

  • Pixel 9: Expected to have a full-screen HDR brightness of 1,800 nits (up from 1,400 nits in the Pixel 8).
  • Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL: Both may have HDR brightness of 2,050 nits, an increase of about 400 nits compared to the previous model. Local peak brightness levels could be even higher.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro is said to be smaller this time, with a 6.34-inch display compared to the 6.71-inch screen on the Pixel 8 Pro. This change is likely due to the introduction of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which is expected to feature a 6.73-inch 120Hz display, the largest on any non-foldable Pixel smartphone so far.
