Huawei will launch the Nova Flip on August 5. A week before, a tipster leaked key details about this foldable phone. The Nova Flip is said to have a 6.94-inch inner screen and a 32-megapixel front camera. It’s expected to be powered by a Kirin 9 series chipset. Additionally, it might feature a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 4,400mAh battery.
Huawei Nova Flip Specifications (Leaked)
A Weibo leak from Digital Chat Station reveals the Huawei Nova Flip’s specs. It features a 6.94-inch OLED inner screen with 1,136×2,690 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, there’s a 2.14-inch OLED cover display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Kirin 9 series G-platform chipset and has 12GB of RAM.
The Huawei Nova Flip may come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. It likely features a dual rear camera: a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide/macro sensor. For selfies, it is expected to have a 32-megapixel front camera.
Huawei Nova Flip Design and Launch Details
The Nova Flip is expected to have a 4,400mAh battery and support 66W charging. There will be two versions of the phone. One has a leather back, measuring 6.88mm thick when open and 15.08mm when closed. The other has a glass back, at 6.9mm open and 15.12mm closed. The leather version will likely weigh 195g, while the glass version could be 199g.
Huawei has confirmed the Nova Flip’s launch in China on August 5. It will be available in four colors. The phone will run on HarmonyOS. Also, it’s the first flip phone in the Nova series.
Alongside the Nova Flip, Huawei will unveil other products at the August 5 event. These include the MateBook GT 14 and the MatePad Pro 12.2.
