Intel has launched its Core Ultra 200V series, called Lunar Lake, in India, just a week after its global release. These are the company’s second-generation AI processors. Availability in India
Starting September 12, you can preorder laptops with these CPUs on Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. Sales start on September 24. Brands like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Samsung will participate.
Key Features of Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake
The new processors boast the Xe2 graphics architecture, enhancing mobile graphics by 30%. There are nine processors in this series, each with eight CPU cores and up to eight GPU cores. The graphics are powered by the Intel Arc GPU, which includes:
- Eight second-generation Xe-cores
- Eight ray tracing units
- Support for three 4K monitors
- Intel Xe Matrix Extensions AI engines
These features enable a performance of 67 trillion operations per second. Intel claims a 68% boost in graphics over Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite.
Each processor includes four performance cores (Lion Cove) and four efficiency cores (Skymont). They support up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a total of 120 TOPS, with 5 from the CPU, 48 from the GPU, and 67 from the NPU.
Connectivity Options
The Intel Core Ultra 200V series offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 (with LE Audio), and Gigabit Ethernet. Devices can feature up to three Thunderbolt 4 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, and two USB 3.0 ports.
