iPhone 16 Pro models may debut in a bronze hue with Wi-Fi 7 support, offering faster speeds and lower latency. Blue color option to be dropped.
The iPhone 16 series is set to launch in just a few weeks, with Apple’s big September event right around the corner. As we get closer to the launch, more rumors about the iPhone 16 models are emerging. This week, dummy models showed off the design and color options for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Now, a tipster has shared new details about the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
New Bronze Color for iPhone 16 Pro Models
A well-known leaker on Weibo, called ‘Fixed focus digital,’ has hinted that the iPhone 16 Pro models might come in a new bronze or bronze-like color. Over the past few months, many experts predicted that Apple might drop the Blue Titanium option from the iPhone 15 Pro and replace it with a new rose or gold color. However, the latest rumor suggests that the new color could be bronze, which will have a titanium-like finish on the frame.

Another leaker from China had earlier mentioned that the color code for the iPhone 16 Pro is ‘Rose,’ similar to the ‘Rose Gold’ that Apple introduced with the iPhone 6s in 2015. Besides the new color, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to offer the same color options as before, except for blue.
Faster Wi-Fi for iPhone 16 Pro Models
According to a report from DigiTimes, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to support Wi-Fi 7. This means the phones will be able to use 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands simultaneously, leading to faster Wi-Fi speeds, lower latency, and more reliable connectivity. Wi-Fi 7 is said to offer data transfer speeds that are four times faster than Wi-Fi 6E, with theoretical peak speeds of over 40 Gbps.
