Samsung Expands One UI 6.1.1 Update to More Devices
Samsung has made its One UI 6.1.1 update available to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets. This update, based on Android 14, adds new features. It also improves AI tools and performance.
The update, first launched with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, is now available for more devices. This includes the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and older foldable models. It began in South Korea and will soon reach other regions.
Devices Getting the One UI 6.1.1 Update:
- Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, Tab S9 Ultra
The update has already started in the US, Europe, and India for some devices. It adds AI features to improve communication. They are: “Listening Mode” in Interpreter, “Composer” for Chat Assist, and “Suggested Replies.” Samsung Notes now has “PDF Overlay Translation” for translating text in PDFs. It also has better creative tools, like “Sketch to Image.””
The update includes the August 2024 security patch. It protects against the latest vulnerabilities. Some devices also got the September 2024 patch.
To check for the update, go to Settings > Software > System Updates. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection, as the update is around 3GB.
