OnePlus to skip ‘Ace 4’ and launch Ace 5 series earlier than expected, featuring flagship specs and design upgrades. Global rebranding likely.
OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro Coming Soon
A leak suggests the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro will launch in China sooner than expected. For context, the Ace 3, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, debuted in early 2023. Then, the Ace 3V, powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, followed in March. Finally, the Ace 3 Pro, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, was released in June.
The new Ace 5 series is expected to have a top chipset, a big battery, and a design upgrade. We might see the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro by year-end.
Currently, there’s no news on the OnePlus Ace 5V, likely the cheapest in the series. The Ace 3V became the OnePlus Nord 4 in India and Europe. So, the Ace 5V might be launched as the Nord 5 in those areas.
The OnePlus Ace 3 was called the OnePlus 12R globally. So, the Ace 5 might be renamed OnePlus 13R outside China. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 13, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is set to debut in China around October or November. The global launch for the OnePlus 13 and 13R is likely in January 2025.
