OPPO Find N5, expected in early 2025, may feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, a 2K main display, improved water resistance, and a compact design.
OPPO is rumored to be working on a new foldable phone, possibly named the OPPO Find N5, as a successor to the Find N3. A reliable source has shared some expected launch details and specs. They include the phone’s processor, display, camera, and design.
Expected Launch Timeline for OPPO Find N5:
Weibo tipster Digital ChatStation (DCS) says the OPPO Find N5 will likely launch in Q1 2025. This timeline matches a previous leak from May. The Find N3 was launched in October 2023, so the Find N5 seems to be taking a bit longer to arrive. There won’t be a Find N4, likely due to the number 4 being considered unlucky in Chinese culture.
OPPO Find N5 Design (Expected):
The OPPO Find N5 should keep the book-style foldable design. However, DCS called it “double-folding,” which has caused some confusion.” The phone is rumored to be more compact, with a thickness of around 9.x mm, thanks to an upgraded hinge. The design might also feature structural improvements for better durability. There’s speculation about better water resistance, exceeding the Find N3’s IPX4.
OPPO Find N5 Specifications (Rumored):
- Processor: The Find N5 could be the first foldable phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC (SM8750). It would be ahead of competitors using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Google’s Tensor G4.
- Display: The main folding display might have a 2K resolution, similar to the Find N3. There’s no information yet on the cover screen.
- Cameras: The phone will have a triple-camera setup on the back. It will have a 50MP Sony main sensor, a round periscope lens, and a third, unknown camera. This would be an upgrade from the Find N3’s 48MP main, 64MP telephoto, and 48MP ultrawide cameras.
- Other Features: The Find N5 might have a three-stage alert slider. It would let users quickly switch between silent, vibrate, and ring modes.
The OPPO Find N5 is a promising foldable phone. It has advanced features and a sleek design.
