Samsung Galaxy A16 5G appears on Geekbench with Android 14, 6GB RAM, and possible MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Launch expected soon.
Samsung is getting ready to expand its A series with the new Galaxy A16 5G. The team at MySmartPrice recently found this upcoming smartphone on the Geekbench database. This phone will be the successor to the Galaxy A15 5G, which was launched in December last year. Here’s what we know so far from its Geekbench listing.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G on Geekbench

The Galaxy A16 5G appeared on Geekbench with the model number SM-A166P. It scored 514 in the single-core test and 1,464 in the multi-core test. The listing also shows that the Galaxy A16 5G will come with Android 14 and 6GB of RAM.

The phone has an ARMv8 processor running at 2.00 GHz. It includes 6 cores at this speed and 2 cores at 2.40 GHz. This hints at the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. However, the listing did not provide more specifications.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G on Other Certification Sites
We’ve seen the Galaxy A16 5G before, with the model number SM-A166P on the UK Carrier database and IMEI certification site. Notably, the UK database hints at a 4G version too.
