Samsung starts rolling out One UI 6.1.1 for Galaxy S24 series and other devices, adding new AI features and system improvements. Available now in Korea.

Samsung Rolls Out One UI 6.1.1

Samsung has begun rolling out One UI 6.1.1 to some Galaxy smartphones. They first launched it on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6. The update was announced at IFA 2024 and is now available for devices like the Galaxy S24 series. It also includes the September 2024 security patch.

New Features in One UI 6.1.1

One UI 6.1.1 is built on Android 14 and introduces new AI features and system updates. Key features include:

  • Listening Mode for Interpreter
  • Composer for Chat Assist
  • Suggested Replies from the Galaxy Z Flip6
  • PDF Overlay Translation in the Samsung Notes app
  • Better Note Assist
  • Sketch to Image to enhance images from rough sketches

Devices Receiving the Update

Samsung confirmed that around a dozen devices will get One UI 6.1.1 during September. These devices include:

  • Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5
  • Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra

Update Rollout Schedule

The update is rolling out in Korea on September 5. It will reach North America and Europe by September 9. With this update, the One UI 7 beta is expected to launch soon.
