Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 shows impressive benchmark scores, hinting at powerful performance in upcoming Xiaomi 15 series.
This new chip uses Qualcomm’s own Nuvia CPU architecture, featuring 2 high-performance cores running at 4.09GHz and 6 efficiency cores at 2.78GHz. The device in the benchmark test had 12GB of RAM and ran on Android 15. It also uses an Adreno 830 GPU and is built on TSMC’s 3nm process.

The benchmark scores show a significant performance boost, with a single-core score of 2884 and a multi-core score of 8840 on Geekbench 6. This is higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s scores of 2325 for single-core and 7448 for multi-core.
According to a well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station, the performance of mass-produced devices could be even better, with single-core scores possibly reaching 3,000 points and multi-core scores exceeding 10,000 points, far surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro should be the first phones to use the new chip. They will likely launch in China after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is introduced at the Snapdragon Summit on October 21, 2024.
